This training aims to raise awareness among public, private, and community organizations about the contemporary realities of immigrants’ integration into the labor market. It examines the main barriers encountered in labor markets, as well as the challenges associated with self-employment and micro-entrepreneurship. The training highlights the specific experiences of immigrant women, as well as allophone and racialized individuals, who are often confronted with structural exclusion, precarity, and overqualification. It also offers avenues for reflection and practical levers for action to improve integration practices, skills recognition, and support for migrant entrepreneurship. This conference can be adapted both to organizational awareness-raising contexts and to spaces for reflection on public policy.
